Touted as an unusual revenge story, the movie Thaandavam starring Tamil star Vikram is going to be another treat for the fans of the actor. In the movie, the actor gets to romance both Anushka Shetty and Amy Jackson.
After the super success of Diva Thirumagal, UTV Motion Pictures, AL Vijay and Vikram have come together for yet another thrilling film. Thaandavam looks quite promising as it has Vikram playing a blind, who is gifted with human echolocation, an ability to detect and identify objects with their echo.
Besides fighting villains in the film, the actor gets two beautiful actresses by his side. Anushka Shetty is seen in a desi avatar; the actress plays doctor in the film and also Vikram’s love interest. British model and now actress Amy Jackson also has a pivotal role. She too is shown romancing the actor in the stills of the film. Reports also have it that the movie has Vikram playing a RAW agent.
Shot in Delhi, Chennai and various locales of the UK, Thaandavam is a whole package with right amount of action, suspense and romance. The first trailer of the film has received an overwhelming response, and the makers UTV Motion Pictures can breathe a sigh of relief as the movie looks every bit a hit. That Anushka Shetty and Arya play dual roles in Selvaraghavan’s Irandam Ulagam is old news.
While Anushka is a doctor in the contemporary segment — the wife of the city bred stylish Arya, the dusky beauty also essays an egocentric tribal queen who has a love-hate relationship with a tribal man played by Arya in his dual role.
The actress is said to have undergone a makeover in terms of her looks, coloring her hair in shades of blond, as well as being attired in bare minimum traditional tribal clothes.
That apart, she has also trained in self-defense, since there were a few risky high-action sequences in IU.
The tribal portions are being canned in the forest areas of Georgia, where the shooting has been going on in full swing for the last two months.
The Arundhathi actress is expected to return to India in a few days. Sources say that Anushka will take a three-day break in Hyderabad to recoup — remove the coloring from her hair and get back to her original self.
Later, she will be joining Karthi for the song-shoot of the bi-lingual Alex Pandian in Chennai, which is titled Brindavanamlo Nandakumarudu in Bollywood.
